Handle videos

Final video resume with general information and interviews.

Video showing the inverse kinematics implemented in collaboration between UC3M and UHAM for the Shadow Hand.
Autonomous pick and Place in HANDLE project. The robot detects the object and the enviroment and then decides the grasping configuration, calculates the path taking in consideration the obstacules and the grasp object. And finally, moves it safely to its destination.

HANDLE project video about the CEA hand and some use cases.

HANDLE project video dealing with the ROS manipulation stack implemented on the project platform was presented at AAAI 2012 conference in Toronto as part of the AI and Robotics Multimedia Fair.
HANDLE project video resume with scenes which shows planning of movements, first simulated and then in a real way.

Video clip showing the fingertip developed by the Kings College Team (KCL). The integrated sensor in the fingertip provides contact location, contact normal, local moment, tangential force, force magnitude and force direction.
Online computation of Independent contact regions from human demonstrations developed by the Orebro Unversity team (ORU).

Video that show synergies in a dexterous hand. This work is developed in collaboration between Hamburg and IST (Lisbon) teams.
After installing the demonstrator at UPMC a few tests were executed to check that the hand and arm function properly.

Videos of in-hand movements developed at UPMC. They are related to the paper "Geometric Planner for Dexterous Manipulation of Polyhedral Objects by Rolling Contacts with a Multi-fingered Hand" submitted to IEEE Robotics & Automation Magazine

Videos of in-hand manipulation movements developed at UC3M. OpeRAVE simulator with ODE physics engine is employed.  A human-based interactive evolutionary computation approach enables a human expert to teach in-hand manipulation skills in short period of time. Ongoing work regarding this topic will be published soon.

This promotional interview was produced by the Office of Scientific Information at University Carlos III about the participation of the UC3M in the EU funded HANDLE project. The video was first broadcasted on the main welcome  page of the university web site on the 22/06/2011.
